Creating work you love means finding your LOVE Voice and Letting it get Bossy

Many of our clients have been trying to fit into a job or company or profession because they thought they had to do that. Their love voice is not as strong as it could be because it has been told to shut up (by their own fear voice), because they thought they had to do that to make that money! Or people appreciate what I am doing! The fear voice said, “People won’t accept the real me, and support my real dreams and passion. I have to pretend to be what they want or need. “

There is a practical transaction with work, someone needs something done and is willing to pay another human to do that thing. Whether it is full-time employment or a gig, someone has to need the work done to pay someone else to do it. And many people don’t know if people will pay for what they are passionate to do. So they settle for something that is good enough. And then that spot, is good enough until it is not. Either because the place you settled in, changed, or the love voice inside your head got a bit louder and began to wrestle the fear voice that relegated it to the corner.

The reality is when we are fighting for survival, the fear voice is helpful. But if that is all we listen to we can lose our way. So how do you begin listening to your love voice?

Take care of yourself. Self-compassion and selfcare is how that love voice comes gets braver and begins to be heard. Re-learning what selfcare is, re-learning to practice and embody love, reconnect with our inner child, heal our hidden wounds. The more you take care of yourself, the more that voice will be heard. The fear voice is a good balancing act to make sure you don’t take off on a flight of fancy, but the point is to have them wrestle and let love come in.
